Q: Is it possible to do a 4WD conversion from a Audi Coupe quattro to a Audi Coupe GT?
Hi there pepz, your wandering why I would want to do a conversion from a quattro to a GT but all the Coupe quattro's I find are rust buckets and I've found one which is a rust bucket but is mechanically sound, so I would like to make my GT, 4WD so I have the best of both worlds as my GT is immaculate. I hope you can help as it's been baffling me for a while now. Many thanks Jamie T
A: Yes, the quattro running gear will fit into a FWD car of the same age without any mods, all the bits you'll need should be on the quattro car.
Q: Audi Quattro VS Porsche 944?
If I had to chose a car, i'd defiantly chose the Red Audi Quattro coupe from the 80s, I'm finally getting one next year. However one of my friends, says the Porsche 944 is better, i think it looks UGLIER and is of course not 4x4. Which do you reckon would win in a drag race, I'm guessing the Quattro with the 4 wheel drive system and the fact its a much superior car,
thanks R Nicholson
A: Vorsprung durch technik AUDI RULE
Q: BMW 335xi coupe or Audi 3.2 quattro?
The Audi will be released in about 6 months. Should I wait? Or go for the 335?
A: GO FOR THE BMW if you have the dinero to do so; I cannot stress it more!!!...I was trying to decide between the two like yourself. After I test drove the quattro, I really didn't like how it felt like it was picking up speed many seconds after I had pressed the accelerator as opposed to picking up speed right away. The BMW drives like a dream! BMW is a fast, smooth, sleek and attractive looking car that is worth its price tag as opposed to the Audi quattro. The two can't even be compared! After three months of infatuation with the quattro, it's now starting to look like an "old man's" car yet the BMW is always in style! With a BMW you can take comfort in knowing that years later it'll be a gorgeous antique (assuming that you keep it in good condition!)!!
And regarding the All wheel drive (AWD,) I read an article by Edmunds, which said that we don't even need AWD unless we live in a place that has horrible weather conditions such as snow. So it's nothing special that the quattro has AWD! In the end it's your choice so make sure you do some test drives and take some time to think it over!
Q: Fast old Audi?
i've been looking for an 81, 82 audi coupe quattro 2.8 turbo any ideas?
A: Audi never built a 2.8 tubo - although they did do a 2.7 turbo a couple of years ago in the S4, A6 and allroad.
From 81 or 82 you'll be looking for an original quattro, with a 2.1 litre, 5-cylinder turbo engine. Very rare, very sought after.
I found a 1983 model on ebay.co.uk, and a 1989 (2.2 litre) model on autotrader.co.uk
Quattro versions of their other models first appeared with the 80 in about 1983, then the 200 about 1984, and then the 100, 90 and (non-turbo) Coupé in 1985.
Q: Audi A4 2.0 TFSI Quattro or BMW 128i Coupe?
Both would have sport packages and both are 2009. I would get both in black as well, what you guys think 128i or A4?
A: Interesting answers, but wrong.
AWD is not safer, nor better handling with the exception of inclement weather. It's a fact that the 128 is a much better handling car than the A4.
The starting price for the coupe is not 45k, it's only 30255.
And if you were interested in the convertible, the top only takes 22 seconds, and can be done while driving up to 25 mph. Plus the price still isn't even 45k, the convertible starts at 34825.
My pick is the 128i.
Q: My 15th B-day on monday! What are you getting me? =}?

A: holy shiett! mine is too! and I'm turning 15 too! YAY
Q: Can you guys help me to find detailed information about these 2 car ?
2000 Audi TT 1.8T Coupe quattro and 2002 Audi A6 3.0 Sedan(2wd)
A: Here are two links. There are three tabs you can click on to get: pricing & specs, reviews & ratings (has customer reviews in it which are very good to read) and pictures of the specific vehicles.
Q: If you had $15000 to spend, what car would you suggest for an Ontario winter?
It's going to be my first winter in Ontario and I'm not looking forward to driving but I'll have to. My budget is $15000 and these are the cars I'm considering:
2003 Audi A4 Quattro
2003 Mercedes C230 Coupe
2000 BMW X5
I would consider something newer and less prestige but nothing really comes to mind. Is 4X4 really necessary and would it be better to buy something with a manual transmission?
A: Whichever one has winter tires, they make all the difference in the winter. Personally I would go with the X5 if its in good shape.
Q: Which would you rather buy? 98 Audi A6 or 97 BMW 328i?
I found two cars that interest me ... 1 is a 1998 Audi A6 2.8 Quattro with 119000 miles... 2. is a 1997 BMW 328i coupe with 140000. I'm kinda going for the Audi ... but i heard the reliability is worse for the Audi.... I had a couple of BMWs before, but now i'm thinking of trying out the Audi.... which would u choose? Both are same price... 5000 dollar and in good condition.
A: You should also consider that such a car may be expensive to insure. Check your insurance rates before buying one, for example here - autoinsurance.maclenet.com
Q: I am looking to geta new car. looking at g35, 325i, and audi a4 hopefully 3.2 quatro s-line.
well I am to be going to be getting a car this thursday hopefully and i have a few questions about what the users here have to say. so i am looking at 325i the infiniti g35 which i am torn about coupe or sedan b/c i saw the sedan had a better 0-60 (less wheel spin?) and audi a4 thinking 3.2 quattro but heard is is not as much fun b/c it does no have the same torque as the 2.0t. So I am kinda concered about german cars since i am 18 and if it brakes after the warranty is up it will not be good for me (looking to buy 2006) so i was wondering to they brake like alot or what? not sure what true cost of ownership of a bmw is after the 4 year coverage is up and i start doing all that shit myself. infiniti i am looking at as a nice japanese car that in theory should be easier to mantain and should have less problems. So this is where i stand as of now. used to be looking at rx8 but heard bad things about them and hard to aftermarket.
A: to actually answer your question. the G35 would be your best bet as far as relieability goes, and there is lot of aftermarket support BUT if you were to get the german cars on your list under warranty, i would say go for it, since the cost to maintain german cars is a bit expensive if there isn't a warranty.
If the case is that you are looking for a car for 4 years UNDER warranty i say I would go for either of the germans considering cost is not an issue, the quattro in the audi is amazingly safe BUT is not reliable at all, and i tell you that from experience, as far as the BMW goes, with a 325i its a great handling car, BUT its really small and again german cars are usually prone to electrical problems. All in all though, I feel that the g35 is your best bet, its got great power, handles well, and looks great, and is super reliable, and another good thing is infiniti/Nissan techs are usually not asses and are usually accomadating.
And in response to those 2 guys praising american engineering, first of all he never asked about american cars, has asked about BMW, Infiniti and Audi specifically. As far as a used camaro goes, it sounds like this guy wants something reliable, and decently fuel friendly according to his list, not something that gets 10mpg, and is made from parts that will break, at least american parts will be cheap, last i remember the new 2010 camaro is built on a Vauxhall VX-R Frame (Austrailian) and as far as the for mustang goes, its probably the only sports car thats still built with a live rear axle. Having driven some great american sports cars (Corvette, Sky), I am not knocking american engineering, but lets be realistic guys, the last generation Camaro was discontinued because of poor sales, and was ugly as sin, and as much as i love the mustang, it handles like crap once it sees uneven/gravely roads.
