Q: set garage door opener remote, in my audi tt, 2005 roadster?
A: On the back of the garage door opener, is a button that says "learn." Hit that, and then press in the homelink button that you want for the garage door. Its best when you have a helper. If I am not mistaken, the garage light will flash, confirming its been read by the homelink. You may want to look at your owner's manual for clarification/details.
Q: Are wheel spacers safe to use to widen the stance of your car?
I have a 2001 Audi TT Roadster 225 HP Quattro. Want to put some 25mm spacers in the rear and maybe 15 or 20mm in the front. I currently have a stud conversion kit for my wheels. Will these work with the spacers or will I have to buy new studs/bolts?
A: if u got the right lug pattern on them itll work and ive never had any problems with spacers even though some people say there dangerous i use them on 4 wheel drive mud trucks and all if the can hold up to that abuse that tells me they are perfectly fine
Q: i need some help with a audi?
i am getting a 2001 audi tt roadster and it comes with performance tires so i need to get snow tire but i have no idea were to get them or how much they cost or should cost so i dont get ripped off
A: Just make sure that you get something with a good tread pattern. The price is also going to depend on the size of your wheels. You have performance tires, so Im guessing they are on 17" or 18" rims. Those tires are going to be more expensive. If the person you are getting it from try and get the stock rims too, you should be able to pick up some decend winter tires for $250.
Q: What is car mileage, and how do i know if it is good or not?
I went on cars.com to find some used cars just to get a general idea of what i want to buy. for each car, theres the mileage that goes with it.
for example, i looked up a 2001 audi TT roadster and its mileage is about 75,000 miles. is that really bad??
i dont really understand what mileage is and how to determine if it is good or not. help please?
A: Average is around 12,000 a year.
So, it's really easy.
Multiple 12,000 by how many years old the car is.
In this case, it's 84,000. Then compare to the miles you have, which is 75,000.
So, it's about 9,000 miles below average.
Which means it's perfectly fine.
Q: My A/C in my car was working fine yesterday. Today it is blowing warm air.?
I have a 2001 Audi TT Roadster Quattro 225BHP. I checked my freon pressure and it was normal. Checked the fuses and they were all fine. Compressor belts and clutch seems to be spinning. What else could it be? Maybe A/C pressure sensor? What else should I look for?
A: Did you check the a/c pressures with the engine running and the a/c on? If the a/c compressor is spinning, you should see roughly 40 psi low and 250psi high. If you do see those pressures, and the suction line is cold and sweating from the evaporator to the compressor, then the problem is in the dash air flow control. Like maybe a failed blend door actuator or something. If the pressures are not where they should be, then you have an issue with the actual a/c system.
Posting the pressures here will help to diagnose it.
Q: Which one of these cars is faster?
Mercedes Benz SLK or Audi TT Roadster?
A: It depends on what SLK model you are talking about, there are many different SLK models with varying performance. There is the SLK 200, 230, 280, 350, 32, and 55, some with Kompressor submodels and some with AMG submodels.
I will assume you are talking about a 2009 Mercedes Benz VS. a 2009 Audi TT Roadster.
The Basemodel SLK is the SLK300. It has a 228HP V-6 motor and goes from 0-60mph in 6.1 seconds.
Next is the SLK 350 which has a 300HP V-6 motor and goes from 0-60mph in 5.4 seconds
Finally there is the high performance model called the SLK55 AMG. This features a specially built V-8 motor with 355HP and goes from 0-60mph in 4.9 seconds.
The 2009 Audi TT Roadster has 2 models, the TT 2.0 TFSI and the TT 3.2
The TT 2.0 TFSI has a turbocharged 2.0L with 200HP and goes from 0-60mph in 6.1 seconds
The TT 3.2 has a 3.2L V-6 and goes from 0-60mph in 5.3 seconds in the AWD model.
So summing up all this info, the SLK 55AMG is the fastest, followed by the TT 3.2
Base model VS. Base model the are equal.
Q: BMW Z3 or Audi TT?
Both close to the same price. I want a roadster, but which do you suggest? Just taking a poll to find out!
A: Ahhh worst question ever! Both?!
Okay well the Audi TT looks more roomy on the inside but the BMW has the more traditional fast sports car look so I would opt for that.
Fancy giving me a shot ;-) lol
Q: Soft Top Convertible Question?
This is probably going to sound stupid but I recently purchased a Audi TT roadster with a soft top. Now I never had a convertible before so I'm not sure exactly how to go about washing the car as all the car washes here in Hawaii that I know of is automatic. I'm assuming I won't be able to take it into an automatic car wash?
A: I wouldn't recommend taking any car through and automatic wash even some of the "touch less" ones can damage your car.
yeah all convertibles will leak sooner or later.
all you can do is keep the trim and seals soft and well lubricated with armor all or similar products and buy a car cover.if you don't park in or under a roof at night.
mustangs are famous for leaking at the hole where the wire for the rear defrost goes through. keep an eye out for leaks around the rear window.
the sun is your worst enemy if you don't buy a car cover look into purchasing a cab cover that just covers the top.
Q: Ladies, which car would most impress you?
I am a high school jr and at the end of the year, my dad said he will buy me a car under 40,000 dollars. which car do you think is the most attractive? which is a chick magnet? i know the type of car a man drives is very important so i need some advice on which one to get.
P.S
Don't suggest me an American car.
ive made the following list

A: the BMW z4 roadster looks the best to me.. it has more interesting lines to it .. different from the rest of them.. and more noticeable on the road... just my 2 cents worth ...
Q: Best Looking Car Out There?
Out of these cars:
Audi TT Roadster
Audi A4 Cabriolet
Mini Cooper Convertible
Nissan Z
Saturn Sky
Pontiac Solstice
Chrysler Crossfire
which is the best looking? And do you know anything else about them?
A: The nissan Z , Saturn Sky, and the Audi TT are the most visually "striking" or "beautiful" cars... they are unique, but look very sleek
Out of them all, the Nissan Z is the best performing. It is an attractive car with a cheap-ish interior, that has an amazing engine and very enjoyable driving characteristics.
The sky is too small and weak in the mid range, and the TT is way too skittish in the corners...it is very front-heavy, and performs very sluggishly.
Q: £20k to buy a car....but what to buy...?
All the roads were flooded today on my way to work.... I really need to buy a 4x4 .... I have been looking and think a 02 freelander would be alright .... 1.8 ltr Auto.... so good on the fuel side.... Then buy a second hand 03/04 Audi TT roadster.... for the week ends....
A sensible car and a fun car....Rather than buying a brand new car....
What do you think ....?
I know £20k is not a huge amount.... the rest is going a 2nd property....
A: how about a Audi All-road, as good as freelander, with the rover problems, and on the weekend, the wagon kicks ass, 2 cars in one,
Q: which car out of these would you want?
hello, I am looking for a new car and I was wondering which the best one was out of these:
a Porsche Boxster
a VW New Beetle convertible
a BMW Z4 Roadster
an Audi TT Roadster
a Land Rover Range Rover
or if you dont like any of these which 1 would you want?
A: The Boxster is great. Fast, and great fuel economy.
Q: Need Help plz?
i want to add extra horse power to my audi tt roadster 3.2L V6
250bhp ????
not sure where to start with it
A: These compromises often give you lots of room for improvement in terms of performance! There are many different ways to create more horsepower from a stock engine. Here are several examples (generally in order from least to most difficult/expensive):
Change your computer chip -- sometimes, but certainly not always, you can change a car's performance by changing the ROM chip in the engine control unit (ECU). You usually buy these chips from aftermarket performance dealers. It is valuable to read an independent review of the chip you are contemplating, because some chips are all hype and no performance.
Let air come in more easily - As a piston moves down in the intake stroke, air resistance can rob power from the engine. Some newer cars are using polished intake manifolds to eliminate air resistance there. Bigger air filters and reduced intake piping can also improve air flow.
Let exhaust exit more easily - If air resistance or back-pressure makes it hard for exhaust to exit a cylinder, it robs the engine of power. If the exhaust pipe is too small or the muffler has a lot of air resistance then this can cause back-pressure. High-performance exhaust systems use headers, big tail pipes and free-flowing mufflers to eliminate back-pressure in the exhaust system.
Change the heads and cams -- Many stock engines have one intake valve and one exhaust valve. Buying a new head that has four valves per cylinder will dramatically improve airflow in and out of the engine and this can improve power. Using performance cams can also make a big difference.
Stuff more into each cylinder - If you can cram more air (and therefore fuel) into a cylinder of a given size, you can get more power from the cylinder (in the same way that you would by increasing the size of the cylinder). Turbo chargers and super chargers pressurize the incoming air to effectively cram more air into a cylinder. Many manufacturers make aftermarket turbos and super chargers for many different cars.
Cool the incoming air - Compressing air raises its temperature. You would like to have the coolest air possible in the cylinder because the hotter the air is the less it will expand when combustion takes place. Therefore many turbo charged and super charged cars have an intercooler. An intercooler is a special radiator through which the compressed air passes to cool it off before it enters the cylinder.
Make everything lighter - Lightweight parts help the engine perform better. Each time a piston changes direction it uses up energy to stop the travel in one direction and start it in another. The lighter the piston, the less energy it takes. Lighter parts also allow the engine to rev faster, giving it more horsepower.
Increase the compression ratio - Higher compression ratios produce more power, up to a point. The more you compress the air/fuel mixture, however, the more likely it is to spontaneously burst into flame (prior to the spark plug igniting it). Higher octane gasolines prevent this sort of early combustion. That is why high-performance cars generally need high octane gasoline - their engines are using higher compression ratios to get more power.
Increase displacement - More displacement means more power because you can burn more gas during each revolution of the engine. You can increase displacement by making the cylinders bigger.
As soon as you start to try increasing displacement, you might consider the economics of buying a new high-performance engine and trying to fit it into your car -- it may be easier and cheaper!
Q: I'm a non-resident buying a used car in California?
I'm in Los Angeles for 2 years on a work visa and I'm buying a car outright to use while I'm here. The car I'm getting is a 2008 Audi TT Roadster priced at $35,980 from an Audi dealership.
Since I am a non-resident do I have to pay CA sales tax and if so, what else will I have to pay on top of the purchase price?
Also, will I have to have a CA driver's license before I can buy the car and to register it etc.
Thanks for your help!
A: I do think you have to have a regular drivers license.
