Q: How do you synch an Audi Car key with out the need to go to a dealer?
I don't like the idea of going to a car dealer to synch the door key to do keyless entry.

A: .If there is no info in the owners manual then you'll probably have to go to them. This is to help prevent auto theft.

Q: Audi car alarms are terrible how can i fix this?
The car alarm that goes off on audi's is so weak. I cant tell the difference between it and the "door open chime." what can i do to improve my car alarm. or how can i put in a louder one.?

A: your alarm should not be that quiet. first i would make sure that there is not a problem with alarm. if your still not satisfied you might consider aftermarket alarm, there are a lot of choices

A: Looks: Audi A5 Safety: Audi A4 Price: A4 Overall: I would get the A5, but finding one right now is hard. Audi did not anticipate for this ca to be one of the most desirable cars for 2008, and they learned by having all cars coming in until November already being sold. If you need a car right now, I would get an A4. It has won an award by IIHS for having a top safety pick, and since the new A4 is coming, dealers want to clear all 2008 before the 2009 come in making good prices eligible. Good Luck

A: all three are very safe. Audi A4 and Saab 9-3 both get top safety picks. while the S40 is very safe it is not on the top pick list. as for mileage the A4 gets the best but only by a mile or two highway. The A4 is far superior in build quality and driving dynamics to the Volvo and Saab. The Audi actualy has the losest depreciation of the three cars and the lowest Operating Cost ("out of pocket" costs, Financing, Insurance, Taxes & Fees, Fuel, Maintenance, and Repairs). the saab has an extreemly hig depreciation rate (it tops the chart) while the volvo is average and the Audi is well below average depreciation. Being that you are buying used the high depreciation may actually favor the Saab as you will taking advantage of someone elses depreciation but keep in mind it will continue to depreciate quickly, if you were buying new the Saabs depreciation is so much worse than the Audi's it would be enough to take the car right out of your consideration set. If you go with a 1.8T form 2004 or earlier the gas mileage is about the same as the saabs while th e 2.0T gets slightly better. In this compairison i would go with the Audi its safest has the best gas mileage cheapest operating cost and lowest depreciation. plus the AUdi compairs with the MB c class and the BMW 3 series both in build quality and driving dynamics while the Volvo and saab rest happily at the back of the pack in just about every compairison (although the volvo does come at a ceaper price)

Hi, I have a 1996 Audi A4. The tyres are really bald that I wont be able to get the inspection cleared with the RMV. So thinking about getting them replaced. I need something to carry for a year or so and not will be using my car for long distance travels. Can somebody suggest a tyre brand and place to buy one?

A: go to walmart and buy some cheap tire or buy a used one for $ 20.00

I need to get a new one made ASAP the only thing is i can not find the documents to the car either, i think they where lost when i moved home. A: i had the same problem with my car , since you lost ur documents dont bother going to the dealer ship , take the door handle igniton (in other words where you put your key to open the car ) from your car ...and u could take too a key shop . they should be able to make one ...they did to me ...but my car was a 91 toyota ...but its worth a try if its ur last resort .

Q: how do you change the battery in an Audi A4 car. Do you have to take it to a dealership?
Do you have to take it to a dealership or can you do it yourself. My batter is dead and I need any new one, I would just hate to have to pay big bucks to have the dealership do it. Any help would be appreciated.

A: Any Interstate Battery distributor will install for little or no money. They make very good batteries and will save you money over going to the Audi dealership. You can also install your self, it is quite easy.

I am trying to determine if we can expect prices of European manufactured cars such as BMW, Porsche, Audi, Volkswagen to increase in the near future due to the continued strength of the Euro against the dollar. So I was wondering if anyone has compared prices of European vehicles sold in the US over the last one year to see any upward pricing pressure? Any response would be valuable. Even if someone has a theory about why that upward pricing pressure may or may not materialize due to mitigating factors, please feel free to share. Thanks.

A: Many European Cars are built in the US & Mexico to escape the high Euro. The Japanese built their US factories in response to the strong Yen of the 1980's.

Q: Why do people prefer to buy an image car (BMW) than a better car (Audi). Is BMW more popular than Audi?
I think Audi is simply cooler than BMW, but real-life examples prove me wrong. I really hate the person who voted that you wouldn't buy either lol. Many of the people here are repeating what I said in the question. I know BMW is an image car. Is there a significent difference?

A: BMW came out first so it is more well known. But I also prefer Audi's. They actually feel exactly the same to drive. I have driven just about every Audi and BMW. They feel like the same cars, but I think Audi's look better inside and out.
