Q: Where is the best source of information for Audi/BMW/Mercedes history concerning Nazi/WWII ties?
I'm looking to trade-up to a luxury car and I tend to like the lines and features of Audi's, BMW's, and Mercedes' however I'm concerned about their past ties to support of the Nazi regime in WWII. I don't care about VW because I'm not even close to thinking about a VW. But where is the most accurate source of information about the history of these other companies and their Nazi past? I've done Google searches and only come up with forums full of vidiots, trolls, and Wiki references. Is there a more definitive and accurate source for information about these companies? Please don't reply with "The past is the past" because I'm still not over the Holocaust. When to forgive isn't my question. I want to know more about these companies and their ties to Hitler before I buy something as expensive as a luxury car. Thank you for any help you can provide!

I am considering buying Audi A4 03,04. Just wondering if there is a paritcular color that makes more sense then the others. (Please be specific) Or let me what color I shouldnt consider. I am in my early 30s. Thanks
A: Well, if you want it to look elegant, solid black is your best choice (looks even better than MB's black paint). a decent alternative is moro blue imo (only on 04+ models).
warning: dolphin grey is a nice color too, but looks rather bland in comparison and lots of women choose grey for a4s (dont know why).
for sportier or agressive looks you should really consider denim blue or the older red (not the new ugly bright red, sorry i cant remember the name). odd as it may sound I see more men than women driving a dark red a4.

A: I would definitely say that it's the best car in it's class. It is the most reliable, has the best handling, most space and looks best.

im talking about style speed and handling.
A: I would say the B5 chassis, which is 2000 to 2002.
It is a smaller chassis than the newer Audi's, and lighter weight. It is also just as tunable. The A4 with the 1.8t is the one to go with, but if you can step it up to the 2000-2002 S4, than you have the most capable Audi around. I had one tuned to 600hp or so, and you wont lose a race. The AWD will launch the car leaving everything that isnt AWD in your rearview mirror.
Regardless, you an go wrong with Audi at all. If you had to step it down a bit, go with a VW, if you can step it up one day, go with the Porsche.

I currently have an audi A3 and am going to buy an A4 can't afford an S4 before you say one of those but what is the best out of the others in the range and why?
A: The B5 A4 with the 1.8t Quattro if you're looking to mod. Also, make sure its 1999.5 and up. The B5 models made from 96-99 were known to have timing belt issues. Doesn't sound too bad until it goes and your car dies and you think it was some random freak accident so you try to restart it and pretty much implode the engine and have to pay 4k to fix the engine.
the 2001 is actually probably the best year. They are cheaper to buy than a 2002 by quite a bit because 2002 was the beginning of the B6 models. Same engine and it had a few extra hp from the previous years. Also, if you're looking into buying it for the sake of having a nice fast car you might wanna check out www.atpturbo.com. They sell a GT28RS kit for the 1.8t that could easily produce 350+ hp.

A: I would rather have BMW cos they just take my fancy more...I like both those 5's. I recently sold my M5 (E60), but I really did like the design of it. I also have an old 5, and I think they're a pretty nice looking car aswell. I think that most Mercs are pretty ugly...haha. Lexus's look even worse, and I like a few Audi's, but they don't look as good as the BM's. BMW is good for reliability, looks, and as Jeremy Clarkson would say POWERRRRR! Haha.

get a set of aftermarket speakers. You can get a better quality pair at the same price or less as you would pay for just one replacement from the dealer. A: if i were you id use clamps on it,i hate welding them also,there's a chance that you may have to change it again,and if so ,the clamps are a lot easier to deal with,good luck on it.
