Q: where can I buy audi a4 engines?
I need a good place to buy car engines incase mine has seized. I am hoping to only spend 4k-5k on the whole thing. Anyone have any advice on how much I should spend (definatly at a private mechanic) and where I should buy my engine.

I quite like the look of an A4 but dont know what model to go for, for performance an comfort wise. Should I go brandnew or go for one a year old or something like that or even another model. Maybe looking to spend aroun 25k.
A: Get an A6, bit more room and smarter cabin, look around the dealers and for your money you will get the 2.0 TDI about 6 months old. I got one with sat nav,tints, leather etc for that money. Previously had a Volvo V70 and was going to go for the new shape, but the Audi beats it with looks and performance. You may pay a bit more for bigger engines and the S lines but there are some deals out there.

I would like to put on a snow tire i live in the northeast. Right know i have perrlli P-6000 the snow traction does not seem to great. Does anyone suggest one?

I need a new car. I am not rich at all but I have been driving the same car for 14 years and have hated it for 13 years. I feel like I deserve a bit of a splurge here. I do not want a truck or suv, but would like something safe ( in accidents ). I would also like all wheel drive as I do not have the option of not going to work in bad weather. Gas mileage and resale value is big for me too... Any suggestions?
Also, I would love a convertable, any safe ones out there? Or is that just wanting too much?

I am looking to buy an Audi A4 1.8T Quattro B5 but I ve heard that there is a difference between models. The models before 2000 has an engine of 150 bhp 1.8T Quat. and the models 2001 and after has an engine of 163 bhp 1.8T Quat. Is that true that the horsepowers are different and what is the difference between these engines ? Thanx
A: Yes it is true. I got 2000 Audi A4 and it had 150 hp. The next model 2000.5 had 170 hp.
Other than that not much changed.

Honestly that much doesn't make much difference. Most of the driving is done using just 10 to 50 hp anyway.

P.S. the engine block was the same. They just boosted the turbo a little to boost sales. If you really want to get more HP from Audi, you can just as easily get an after market ECU that will boost the HP to 200 (easily).

A: What im hearing from your description, dont buy it. First of all, 84k miles! an average car only lasts around 95-100, and 5000 for a car with 84k miles, no way. I dont even know about this specific car and im turned off to it. My advice is no, especially for someone who likes to use it alot.

Hello, I am planing to buy Audi A4 3.2T quattro. It is fully loaded, with Navigation, premium sound, premium leather, premium package etc. It has 23 K miles on it. It is a certified vehicle and getting it around $32 K. The steal is I am oging to get 0% apr for next 5 yrs. But I have few concerns , what it's reslae value will be? Do audi's depreciate faster? And also I have heard that, Audi is change its A4 line from enxt year, so my model will not have a good resale value. Should I go with new BMW 3 series or Acura TL?
A: Audi's have high resale values. A 2003 Audi A4 with the 1.8T Quattro and 50,000 miles costs around $20,000, which is very good. A Mercedes with that mileage would cost $2000-3000 less.
Acura TL will also be redesigned in 2009.
The BMW 3 series feels just like the Audi to drive, but it is slippery in rain and impossible to snow because it is RWD.

I'm A big fan of both Companies & I use to always pick some BMW models over Audi. Lately I've noticed that Audi's have become really popular in my town & are being used a lot in some movies I've seen. A: If safety is a concern, go with the Audi. They're built like tanks and have a very good safety record. The same can't be said for the Wrangler. The Audi has front, side and rear impact protection. The Wrangler doesn't. And you'll appreciate the ride in an Audi much more than a Wrangler, unless you like bone-jarring, kidney crushing, jaw-breaking stiff suspension.
