Q: Is it better to buy a leased car during the lease or after the lease ends?
I am leasing an Audi and just got a new job which has required me to commute. I am going to be way over my allowed milleage so I figured I should just buy the car. Should I do this during my lease or wait until it ends October 2009? Thanks

A: from what others have told me who have been in this situation, it is not good to buy a leased car at any time. They end up charging you astronomical fees and in the end, you are paying about double of what you would have if you had just bought it out-right to begin with. My suggestion... see if you can't renegotiate the terms of your lease to include higher mileage allowance. Might cost you a bit more in your monthly payment, but it would be better than paying through the nose after your lease terms are up.

Q: does anyone know what it costs to lease an audi A8l for 36 months?

A: Don't listen to that other person. Leasing a car is not stupid. I mean if you don't plan on driving that much and only want to car for a couple years than it's the best deal and you pay less a month then you would if you were financing the car. Anyways about a Audi. If you go to www.audiusa.com and you can find out how much your car would cost but I guessing around 1,000 dollars or more a month depending on what elsa you get on your car.

Q: What kind of discount does Audi Employees get on a lease?

A: That's kind of a loaded question. If you are a salesperson that works on an Audi car lot then it's up to your GM. If you are a (ABS) Audi brand specialist, then there are very few leases that they offer dealership employees. These are the best ones as I have seen a fully loaded A-4 go for 325.00 a month with 0 outy of pocket. These leases are dealer approved and with their help. Unless you are one of the top you probably won't get offered this one. If you are a true employee of Audi of America then I am sorry, I don't have that answer for you.

Q: Has anyone gone through a debt settlement or debt counselling program. Can you lease a car while in it?
Are you happy you did it? Any suggested companies? I am currently leasing an Audi and it runs up in a year and i am afraid i won't be able to lease another car if i am in either of the programs. i have never missed a payment and as of now i am current on all my bills, but i lost my high paying job and took a lower salary so i have debt built up and i need help. suggestions anyone? Thanks.

A: I am currently in a Debt Management Program with CareOne Credit... Yes I an happy I did it because my debt was just piling up one on top of the other and this was a resolution for ME and my situation....I would suggest CareOne Credit because they are great and are non-profit so there are no fees from beginning to end!!! And yes you can still lease while in the program...I financed a car while in one and haven't had any problems because of it..I would suggest you do your research on whatever company you choose because there are a lot of scammers companies that will just take your money and not deliver the promise... FYI A lot of people feel that a DMP will ruin your credit ~ this is not true (I'm not sure about a settlement company) ~ your credit score will not be effected (go down) because you're in a program it will go up as your accounts are paid down and eventually paid off ~ also the notations on your credit report that say you're in a program should be removed by the creditor once you're completed~ if not it can be disputed...

Q: lowest audi lease?

A: Find out at your Audi dealer. I think it would be the A3 or A4.

Q: Audi A3 lease owners....?
Im looking into different cars I like, this is one of them...I'd like to know how you like the car, about your experience at the dealership, or any advice you can give me. Plus, after I built my car on the sight, it totaled to about 27,500. I'm thinking of leasing and maybe putting down about 5-7 thousand down. Do you think that will be enough to make my payments about 350 a month (two year, 12,000 mi)? It seems like a really nice car and practical enough.

A: I am not leasing an Audi A3 at the moment but you can obtain better responses from the Audi A3 Forum at edmunds.com. The link is given below.

Q: Anyone leasing an Audi TT? How much do you pay per month?
Do you have convertible? Thanks!

A: James, Here is one deal that was offered to a reader on edmunds.com. I'll include another reader's reaction to it below. 2008 Audi TT Roadster 2.0 TFSI Brilliant Black with Limestone Gray Leather/Alcantara Premium Package Bose Surround Sound Audi Navigation Plus Bi-xenon adaptive headlights 18 inch 7 arm alloy wheels with Z rated tires Bluetooth cell phone prep MSRP with destination = $45,570 Agreed sale price = $43,776 (4% off MSRP) Residual = 57% Term = 36 months Mileage: 12K/year Money Factor = .00240 (didn't think a car this new and this hot would have a very good money factor - and it didn't, although not horrible, i.e. Porsche) Drive off is $3K, which includes $700 to the state of Arizona for plates and gov't fees, $575 for acquisition fee, $388 for doc fee and $1337 cap cost reduction. Total monthly is $696/mo. ---------------------- Here is a knowledgeable reader's response to the above deal: Congratulations on your new Audi TT, lbh2315. I've always liked this car and the 2008 model is even better than the previous generation was. The '08 TT roadster is supposedly more rigid than the old coupe was. It looks like the dealer that you got your TT from marked up its money factor a little bit to add additional profit to your deal. Audi Financial Services' March buy rate lease money factor for a 36 month lease of an '08 TT 2.0T roadster is only .00190 (.00015 higher with the security deposit waived). Having said this, the $1,800 discount that you were quoted seems pretty reasonable for a redesigned model that was just introduced. Overall, I'd say that this isn't a bad deal for such a new car. -------------- I hope this helps.

Q: I am torn on this Audi Dilemma! Looking to lease a 08 A6 3.2 Quattro, is the car worth the $$$$?
I have an 07 camry, and it is by far on par with my first car I ever owned which was an 85 dodge aries. I want to get a solid, reliable, safe car that is fun to drive. It seems as if in the past 2 or so years Audi, has really turned their reliability around. Does anyone have any thoughts on this?? Well, i can get a certified 06 or 07 audi between 7000 and 25000 miles on it for about the same price. I guess its a crap shoot. I think i will buy a low low mileage one instead of lease. unless i can just parlay into another Audi.

A: well Audi is leading in the German luxuries when it comes to reliability do not expect Toyota like reliability because thats not what you will get. but what you will not get is something on par with a dodge Aries (which i agree the Toyota is) what the money is buying in an Audi is build quality driving dynamics and luxury. but with all the luxury and performance options comes higher maintenance you may have to visit the dealer once or twice over the term of the lease for minor repairs but that is something that is quickly becoming true of even Toyota's as they are expanding so quickly that there quality control seems to be going out the window. the A6 reliability is average but not above average but if you are leasing you should not have a problem as most issues do not start until later in the cars life (repairs start hitting at about 70K miles) the most you will most likely see is computer glitches that you see the dealer and have the computer reset. I owned a Camry and hated it i love my A6 (mine is the 2.8 model from a few years ago) I would definitly say they are worth the money if you are looking for build quality and driving dynamics as a top priority but if your top priority is reliability then you really need to look at Lexus or Acura (just know you will be giving up some build quality and driving dynamics for some added reliability) IMHO if oyu are leasing you will probably not have much if any problems with the Audi it you plan to keep it ten years then the added reliability of the lexus and Acura might come in to play.

Q: Leasing an Audi, 36 months, what's the highest annual mile allotment I can get ?
Typically, leases only allow you 15 or 20k per year, are there cases in which I can negotiate a higher mileage allotment? I live about 45 miles from work. And if I can't get a higher allotment, what's the penalty per mile they would charge me at the end of my lease? I don't want to purchase the vehicle, why pay $600 a month on a 3yr old car for 5 years when I could pay $389 for a 2007 Audi for 36 months? My question was, how negotiable are dealerships regarding mile allotment? Would they give me 25k?

A: Usually it make sense to buy the vehicle if you're driving over 20k annually. However, check with the dealer, but normally it is $.15-$.25/mile for overage. If you're going to drive like this, it might make more sense to buy a 2-3 year old Audi with some warranty left on it or buy an extended warranty. A 'certified Audi' might also be a consideration. These choices are is likely the lowest $/mile you can get and still have a reliable car for the next 100k. Good luck!

Q: I am interested in a lease w/ no $$ down. Which car is better-Benz , BMW, or Audi & most affordable.?
The lowest make/model

A: All leases can be zero down, if you have the credit. The leases you see advertised are just one of many options that are available. If you want an S600 for only $100 a month, the dealer will set that up for you, of course you will probably have to put down about $27,000, to cover the lease. The main question is, how is your credit, or your parents credit, etc. If it is strong 740+, then you can lease just about anything with zero down. To answer your question of which is best, well honestly, they are all the same when it comes to leases, becuase the quality of the vehicle, the fact that it will last for ever, is of no use to you, since you are going to have the car for a few years (during the time of your lease). I would get whatever one you think is the coolest, has the lowest price, etc? Also, what is affordable to you? To me, $500 a month is very affordable, to others $250 a month might be too much. You need to be more specific with your question if you want a solid answer. Most of all, I would go to the dealers and start talking to them, see what they offer you, if you are even in the ballpark as far as price (including your insurance, gas and maintenance). Then come back and ask specifics about the lease, such as the money factor (interest), down payment, acquisition fees, mileage, etc etc etc. Do some homework first, because anyone can recommend a car, but you are the one that has to actually drive it, and most importantly, pay for it.

Q: Choice between new chevy silv, audi, mercedes, or lexus?
I have the choice between a brand new Chevy Silverado 2500 LTZ Crew Cab, an Audi A6, an 08 Lexus LS or an 08 Mercedes S-Class, which would you choose. I would love the Silverado for the room, but I absolutely love luxury cars. The lease on my Yukon is up next June and I have the privledge of getting pretty much any vehicle I want, within reason of course, it has to be somewhat practical.

A: Well, looking at it from this angle: Chevy Silverado - Truck Audi A6 - Premium Midsize Lexus LS460 - Premium Full-size Mercedes S-Class - Premium Full-size I like when you said "I have the privledge of getting pretty much any vehicle I want, within reason of course, it has to be somewhat practical". Lucky bastard, j/k lol. If you've got the money for the LS460 or an S-Class, I'd do a running jump over the Audi A6 and go for the V10-powered Audi S6. The Silverado would provide some utility for you if you decide to utilize the truck bed, or if you're like me and like trucks from a design standpoint. LS460 vs. S550. Put it this way: the base price of an S550 is the same price or more than an over-fully-loaded LS460, that can also park itself (if you have never tried the feature yourself, its pretty sweet). That and during interior decibel tests (interior quietness), the Lexus is, and continues to be, bank-safe solid and quiet. That and I don't know if Mercedes has gotten over it's quality issues. But Asian-built cars will continue to be built with one thing in mind: to satisfy their customer in every shape, form, and fashion. I guess, as you can see, my answer would be the Lexus LS460 and check every option box. Congrats dude.
