Q: How many miles are too many on a used Audi?
A: This is the wrong thing to ask on an Audi. The condition of an Audi is greatly dependent on the maintenance. An Audi that is NOT well maintained and only 50K miles could be far WORSE than another at 100K with very good maintenance.
Also you should ask how much is maintenance on an Audi. Answer: usually 2x to 4X as much on Honda, etc.
Good Luck
Q: Audi's used to be understated and classy, do you think they've got a bit vulgar?
I do, in the past, an audi was the sign of refinement and class. Not any more, they're awfully brash. I like the new designs, but i think they have lost something.
A: Clarkson was right when he said they have replaced BMW in terms of the pricks that drive them. BMW's always used to have some end at the wheel and they would always be driven 2mm off your rear bumper when traveling on the motorway. Now, if there is a car right up your backside on the motorway (even when you can't go any faster due to traffic in front) it is nearly always an Audi. They all have that stupid S-line badge on the front as well. Even the underpowered Audi's have the little red S-line badge on the front. There is one good thing about all these Audi's looking so fast and agressive though... the look on the faces when I put my foot down and leave them for dust! My car does this at any speed and it frustrates the hell out of arrogrant Audi drivers. The most fun is undertaking them when a gap opens up infront and you can change back to the middle lane and shoot past them on the inside.
I'd agree - Audi's have lost their cool.
Q: how much does it cost to maintain a used saab or audi? how much should u have?
i am thinking of getting a used car

i know it depends if there if there is something wrong with it but i dont know what are the common repairs for these things
if that makes sense
im looking at audi's 8thousand
2001 or something like that
A: If it is in good shape the most likely things will be tune up, oil changes, tires. But you never know what could happen.
Q: where can i get used audi car part in melbourne ,like front bumper cover?

Q: If I buy a used Audi car under $10,000, would that be a good choice?
A: not giving enough info for a true answer , what year how many miles what condition.....etc.
Q: I would like to buy a used Audi, Volvo or Mercedes.?
At an auto repair shop, they told me repair costs are higher on these cars. They also told me these brands of cars are very unreliable and break down frequently. Is this true, I was under the impression these were superior quality autos.
A: Yes, it's very true.
Mercedes and Audi regularly hit the bottom of the list of most reliability studies. They have overly complicated electronics that are very expensive to fix. The cost of maintenance and of parts are extremely high. Volvo also makes cars that are expensive to own, but they are a little more reliable than Mercedes-Benz or Audi. If you really want quality and reliability, you shouldn't be looking at European luxury cars, you should be looking at Lexus or some Japanese Luxury brand.
Q: are used audi's good cars?
I might buy a 98 audi a4 2.8 with 99k miles on it for around 3200.00. Is the car that good?
A: Audis are heck good cars!! Watch out for repair costs though (especially after 100k miles). They are very expensive.
Q: Looking at the following used cars: Jag, Audi, Volvo, BMW?
I am looking to purchase a used vehicle. The above mentioned all seem to be nice cars. I am looking to buy 2001-2003 car with no more than 70k miles. Any advice as to my choices above? The Jags are the S and T type. The Audi, A4-6, Volvo-S60-80 or the C70(really like the C70 HT-not convertable) and the 3 or 5 series BMW. Any experience/help will be appreciated! Thanks!
A: I have no experience with any of these cars personally, but I would not consider the Jags, Audis or the BMWs simply because of the problems my friends and relatives have had with them. From what I have read, heard, and seen, Volvos are indestructable, reliable, and very safe. That's what sells them.
Q: Can anyone tell the name of the piece of music used on top gear where jc takes the red audi to france?
its where he goes agaisnt the climbers and its the shoot where you see mountians and the clouds.
A: dont know
Q: a good used audi for around $20k (or under) to buy?
i am looking to purchase an audi soon. i don't know if it's necessary i get the quattro, is it? i have a very quick car, a z28, which is about the speed of the style before current of a corvette. i would like something comparable. my z28 does 0-60 in 5.1 seconds so 6/7 seconds is comparable enough.
i especially want something dependable. that z28 has been a handful. american cars just break down easily. please recommend a year and type of audi that would be a good purchase. really a range of years is fine or range of models. gas mileage i know isn't great in these things, i would prefer it get at least 20 in the city and nearly 30 on the highway. i have a 6-speed manual in the z28 and love it, but also live in the city and it is pretty intense, so i will probably go for an automatic this time around.
A: Firstly, to say that Audi cars are unreliable is absurd...German cars (namely Audi, BMW, VW...)
Secondly, if you do not know if you want a quattro or not, then having one wont be an issue, its simply an AWD...
If you are looking for an Audi model that has similar speed to the car that you own, the 2000-2002 or 2003-2005 Audi S4 will be your best bet...
Although the 0-60 time on the 00-02 model will be ~5.6, it is still very quick with its twin-turbo 2.7 V6
The 03-05 S4 has the 4.2 V8 and produces more power than the 00-02, however the price range of this model will linger around 20k, whereas with the 00-02, youll find a bunch from 13-17k
As far as I am concerned, if your looking for an Audi that can put out a lot of power, but keep the price under 20k, these will be your best options
Q: Best way out of a used car I am backwards in?
I bought a used Audi about a year and a half ago. Turns out it is one headache after another. I paid blue book, but am about 7000 backwards. The warranty is almost up and I want out. What is the best thing to do.I know I will lose money, should I lease or buy or what??
A: There is no good way out of an upside down loan. You could sell the car but then you would have to come up with extra cash to fully pay off your loan. Not good.
Or you could trade. Dealers will happily roll your negative equity into a new car, which will make you even more upside down on your new loan, assuming the bank will allow such a high amount to be added to the new loan. Not good.
Or you could return the car to the bank, which would be considered a repossession, which will destroy your credit rating -- and you'll still owe the bank the money to fully pay off your loan after the car has been sold for peanuts at a wholesale auction. Not good.
Your best, cheapest, easiest, and least damaging option is the simply keep the car, get if fixed, and pay off your loan -- or pay it down enough to get out of being upside down.
Q: buying a used car - Accord or Audi?
I am in the market for a car for about $10k. I want to get an Accord but i have started looking at Audi A4's. Are Audi mainanance cost very expensive? Or can someone mention pros and cons for the Accord and Audi? Any help greatly appreciated
A: audi. no question. but it might be hard to find one that is $10K
Q: I just paid off all my debts, Is it smart to trade-in my audi for a used Acura MDX with monthly payments?
Monthly payment is around $250.00. I can afford it. It will make me happy.
A: Buy and drive whatever you please. But....I have been in various aspects of the car business for 20 years. I have one solid piece of advice I give to all my relatives and friends. NEVER trade in a car. Ever. Don't even let the dealer know you have a car. Don't let your vehicle becaome any part of the negotiation. And if you must finance, do your best to obtain financing somewhere else if at all possible. A credit union would be a favorite. A family member another.
Sell your Audi. Take the cash and use it as at least a partial payment on the other car. This may be inconvenient but will be well worth your trouble.
And many used car lots won't sell you a car for cash. Amazing as that sounds. They can make such a larger profit by proving you with "easy financing" a straightforward cash payment doesn't interest them. A trade in will figure largely in the loan numbers juggling act. Usually what it ends up being that you have pretty much given your trade in to the dealer for free. You about have to be an account and an expert on local wholesale/retail used car prices to figure this out though. You (and I) are not these kind of experts. You can bet the used car dealer is.
